چکیده

A behavioral model of a second order switchedcapacitor Sigma-Delta modulator is presented. The purpose of this work is the presentation of a behavioral model of a second order switched capacitor ΣΔ modulator considering (Error due to Clock Jitter, Thermal noise Amplifier Noise, Amplifier Slew-Rate, Non linearity of amplifiers, Gain error, Charge Injection, Clock Feedthrough, and Nonlinear on-resistance). A comparison between the use of MOS switches and the use transmission gate switches use is analyzed. Keywords—Charge injection; clock feedthrough; Sigma Delta modulators; Sigma Delta non-idealities; switched capacitor.

Performance Scrutiny of Two Control Schemes Based on DSM and HB in Active Power Filter

This paper presents a comparative analysis between two current control strategies, constant source power and generalized Fryze current, used in Active Power Filter (APF) applications having three different modulation methods. The Hysteresis Band (HB) and first-order Delta-Sigma Modulation (DSM) as well as the second-order DSM is applied. The power section of the active power filter is viewed as...

Time-Mode Signal Quantization for Use in Sigma-Delta Modulators

The rapid scaling in modern CMOS technology has motivated the researchers to design new analog-to-digital converter (ADC) architectures that can properly work in lower supply voltage. An exchanging the data quantization procedure from the amplitude to the time domain, can be a promising alternative well adapt with the technology scaling. This paper is going to review the recent development in t...

Behavioral Analysis of Second Order Sigma-Delta Modulator for Low frequency Applications

Switched capacitor (SC) based modulator is prone to various non-idealities; especially at the circuit designing stage where the integrator plays an important role and effects the overall performance of the sigma delta modulator. The non idealities take account of sampling jitter which includes the effect of switching circuitry, sampling noise. Opamp parameter include noise, finite dc gain, fini...

Modeling Sigma-Delta Modulator Non-Idealities in SIMULINK Proceedings of IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems

This paper presents a complete set of SIMULINK ® models, which allow exhaustive behavioral simulations of any sigma-delta modulator to be performed. The proposed set of models takes into account most of the sigma-delta modulator non-idealities, such as sampling jitter, kT/C noise and operational amplifier parameters (noise, finite gain, finite bandwidth, slew-rate and saturation voltages). For ...
